Xavien Washington caught the attention of people inside the Wawa store on Butler Road in Fredericksburg around 4:35 a.m. on Sunday, May 12, after dropping his firearm on the floor while stumbling around in the business, Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur said.

An Alexandria man has been arrested after pulling a gun on an acquaintance during an argument in Prince William County, police said.
Randall Scott Tiemann II, 32, and a 33-year-old male acquaintance got into a physical fight as the result of an argument, bringing police to the 8100 block of Pointer Lane in Manassas around 9:50 p.m. Sunday, May 12, Prince William County police said.

Manassas resident Jessica Lynn Randall, 32, died on Friday, April 26 in connection with a crash on Monday, April 15 at 2:30 p.m., county police said.

A 47-year-old Maryland man is accused of sending sexually-explicit messages to a minor earlier this year in Prince William County, authorities said.
Lamar Bobby Hopkins, of Oxon Hill, MD, was an acquaintance of the victim who received the disturbing texts in February 2023, in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said.
A family member found the messages and contacted police. Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Hopkins.

Kenneth L. Combo, Jr., 59, of Leesburg, was heading north in a 1986 GMC pickup when he ran off the road left, struck the guardrail, overcorrected and then struck a northbound 2023 Kia Telluride around 3:30 a.m. near milepost 151 in Dumfries/Triangle, Virginia State Police said.
